The Duckett Jacob Wheeler Select is a professional-grade signature series co-designed with tournament angler Jacob Wheeler. At $269 it steps above the base Wheeler Signature Series ($149) with upgraded components and blank construction. The series serves competitive and serious recreational bass anglers who need reliable technique-matched tools across the major bass fishing categories: spinning for finesse, casting for pitching and flipping, and longer heavy models for big-bait work.
Wheeler has used this lineup in tournament contexts. Blanks use Duckett's Sensi-Touch construction, a two-layer carbon fiber scrim design for sensitivity and durability balance. Kigan Artus 316 stainless steel guide frames with ring-lock collars, double-flanged tip, and double-footed stripper guide address long-cast performance and line friction. The series has been reviewed positively for delivering high-end feel at a below-premium price. No specific modulus ratings are published.
The six models split between casting (five) and spinning (one). Casting rods span 6'9"–7'7" with M, MH, and H powers. The single spinning model is a 7'1" M MF-action rod (DFWS71M-S) suited for finesse. Notably DFWS73M-CC uses a "CC" designation showing a crankbait-specific action, the only model in the batch with that callout. The 7'7" H fast-action (DFWS77H-C) is the big-bait and heavy-flipping option at the top of the range.

A closer look at notable models.
The sole spinning model in the lineup. MF action on a 7'1" M power blank is a versatile finesse platform, drop shot, Ned rig, shaky head. Inclusion of one spinning rod acknowledges modern tournament reliance on finesse spinning alongside casting techniques.
The "CC" suffix denotes crankbait configuration. Medium power with moderate-fast action at 7'3" is a conventional crankbait setup, the softer tip loads lures into long casts and cushions treble hooks to reduce pullouts. Distinct from the other F-action casting models.
Heaviest and longest model. H power fast action at 7'7" covers flipping heavy cover, big swimbaits, and punching mats. Unusual length, most H-power bass rods stop at 7'6". The extra inch adds hook-set leverage in heavy line situations.
