Crappie Slayer 2.0
Duckett's October 2026 redesign of the Crappie Slayer: six moderate-fast spinning rods from 6' to 7'6" in Light and Medium Light, $79.99
Crappie Slayer 2.0 is Duckett Fishing's redesign of its crappie spinning series, launched October 14, 2026 and sold on Duckett's site as the new Crappie Slayer at $79.99. It keeps the Sensi-Touch multi-modulus blank and Halo-Sanding finish of the original but moves to a carbon-reinforced handle with a low-profile cork grip, a streamlined reel seat with no foregrip, and 316 stainless guides placed by Duckett's AI guide-spacing process. Duckett describes a distinct tip-to-backbone transition: a responsive tip for subtle bites and a powerful lower section for larger panfish, and names dock shooting, casting swimbaits and live-sonar fishing as the target techniques.
Six moderate-fast spinning rods replace the earlier DFCR models (5'6" to 7'3"): 6', 6'6", 7' and 7'6" in Light power, rated 2-6 lb and 1/64-1/8 oz, and 6'3" and 7'5" in Medium Light, rated 4-8 lb and 1/32-3/16 oz. The 7'5" and 7'6" are new lengths for the series. Handles run 15.5 to 16.5 in. Warranty is one year.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 6 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
