Ghost 2

The Ghost 2 is Duckett's second-generation freshwater bass rod line, positioned in the mid-premium bass segment and made for tournament-minded or serious recreational anglers fishing a range of standard bass techniques, flipping, pitching, jig fishing, and medium-heavy casting presentations. The lineup straddles spinning and casting configurations and covers the most-used power classes in competitive bass fishing. It succeeds the original Ghost with AI-optimized guide placement and revised construction. Blanks are Duckett's Sensi-Touch carbon fiber with a carbon fiber scrim layer for added hoop strength without significant weight penalty.

A halo-sanded, semi-exposed blank finish improves blank-to-hand sensitivity transmission. Guides are proprietary 316 stainless steel frames with industrial-grade hard chrome inserts, not premium SiC, but a durable mid-tier option. Twist-lock reel seat hood and nut. EVA grip and butt throughout. One year warranty, shorter than most competitors in this price class, which has been noted in user reviews. Some reported reel seat slippage under heavy load on the redesigned thinner-profile blank. Five models: three casting and two spinning.

Powers run M through H; action F and MF. The 7' M spinning and 7' MH spinning cover finesse-to-medium presentations; the casting models (7' MH, 7'2" H, 7'3" MH) handle pitching, power fishing, and heavy jig work. The single H-power model (DFGT72H-C) with MF action is the designated heavy-cover tool. Lineup is compact in technique coverage, no XH or L options.
