Glade Runner Rod

The Glade Runner is a single-model saltwater casting rod from Duckett Fishing, designed for inshore anglers wading or fishing from small watercraft in marshes, flats, and shallow estuaries where a compact, maneuverable rod is more practical than a longer blank. The target species include speckled trout, redfish, and flounder. The 5'6" length is notably short for inshore work, making it specialized for tight quarters.

The blank uses a multi-modulus pre-preg carbon construction with a halo-sanded finish, producing a lighter and stronger blank than standard wrapping. A low-resin carbon formula balances sensitivity with the structural demands of saltwater use. Triple-coated thread wraps and epoxy-sealed guides resist salt corrosion, while Fuji double-coated guides with Alconite inserts provide smooth casting. The mixed cork and EVA handle balances weight distribution and grip comfort during extended wade fishing.
