Glade Runner Rod
Compact 5'6" inshore casting rod for tight-quarters wade fishing in marshes and flats.
The Glade Runner is a single-model saltwater casting rod from Duckett Fishing, designed for inshore anglers wading or fishing from small watercraft in marshes, flats, and shallow estuaries where a compact, maneuverable rod is more practical than a longer blank. The target species include speckled trout, redfish, and flounder. The 5'6" length is notably short for inshore work, making it specialized for tight quarters.
The blank uses a multi-modulus pre-preg carbon construction with a halo-sanded finish, producing a lighter and stronger blank than standard wrapping. A low-resin carbon formula balances sensitivity with the structural demands of saltwater use. Triple-coated thread wraps and epoxy-sealed guides resist salt corrosion, while Fuji double-coated guides with Alconite inserts provide smooth casting. The mixed cork and EVA handle balances weight distribution and grip comfort during extended wade fishing.
The lineup is a single rod: the DFSS56M-C, a 5'6" one-piece casting rod with Medium power and Fast action. Spinning variant or alternate length is documented for this series is absent. The compact format places this rod in a narrow niche within Duckett's broader Salt Series offering.

Model notes
All 1 models5'6" is unusually short for inshore casting, explicitly suited for wade fishing in vegetation-heavy or confined estuarine environments where a 7' rod creates handling problems. Medium power with Fast action keeps it versatile enough for both soft plastics and topwater presentations.
