A collaboration between G. Loomis and Shimano, applying Shimano's Spiral-X and Hi-Power X blank technology to G. Loomis's Mag Bass (MBR) reaction bait casting format. Conquest sits above the IMX-PRO but below the GLX in the G. Loomis hierarchy. Target use is the same as the GLX MBR, spinnerbaits, bladed jigs, swimbaits, heavier moving presentations around cover, but the Shimano blank tech adds a distinct character: Spiral-X wrapping suppresses twist during powerful casts and fish fights, improving consistency and reducing blank fatigue over time.
Spiral-X and Hi-Power X construction distinguishes Conquest from other G. Loomis lines. Torzite guides from Fuji (higher end than Alconite/SiC in smoothness), custom reel seat with blank-through handles for enhanced sensitivity. Fast action throughout. Pricing around $400–500+. The Conquest line has been produced in earlier iterations; current models represent the Shimano-era collaboration version. Seven casting models, all fast action, 6'6" to 7'6".
The CNQ 783C (6'6" MH) is the short-pitch/reaction option. Three 7' models (842–844C) cover M/MH/H. Three 7'6" models (903–905C) extend to MH, H, and XH, the CNQ 905C at 7'6" XH (15–30lb, 3/4–3oz) is the heavy swimbait/frogging outlier, with the heaviest lure ratings in the series.

Shortest model, suited for pitching and close-quarters reaction bait work where extra length is a liability. MH power with a 1/4–3/4oz lure window handles most spinnerbaits, bladed jigs, and medium jigs at moderate to close range.
Heavy swimbait and big-lure outlier, XH power at 7'6" with 3/4–3oz lure weight is specialized for large swimbaits, big frog patterns, or punching heavy cover. A clear departure from the standard reaction-bait MBR format of the rest of the series.
