The G. Loomis E6X Steelhead Gen2 Spinning series targets steelhead anglers who need a sensitive, drift-capable rod built for Great Lakes and Pacific Northwest river fishing. The E6X 1082-2S STR is sold as a drift rod, the designation STR standing for Steelhead, providing the reach and line-mending capacity needed to manage natural presentations in current. It addresses anglers who drift bait, roe, or soft plastics under a float or along the bottom.
The blank is built on G. Loomis's proprietary E6X high-modulus graphite with multi-taper design, which reinforces stress points while stripping out unnecessary material for reduced weight and improved sensitivity.
