The G. Loomis E6X Walleye WRR 2 is designed for spinner and bait rigging, one of the most productive walleye techniques in open-water and structure fishing. Rigging involves presenting live bait or spinners on a leader behind a sinker, requiring a rod that can detect hesitant bites on a light tip while having enough butt power to set hooks and manage fish on heavier rigs. The WRR suffix designates it as a Walleye Rig Rod.
E6X high-modulus graphite construction with multi-taper design delivers a light, responsive tip section and a stout lower blank. G. Loomis describes the butt as "sneaky powerful" for managing boards, weights, and long runs while the soft tip aids bite detection. Full cork rear grip with a custom cork fore grip is fitted around a Fuji reel seat. Fuji guides are standard. The blank is handcrafted in Woodland, Washington.
The WRR 2 is a single 7'1" light-power spinning rod with fast action, rated 6–10 lb line and 1/16–5/16 oz. The light power and extended reach at 7'1" suit snap-rigging techniques and trolling or drift presentations where contact sensitivity is critical. Positioned in the mid-tier E6X line, it delivers G. Loomis quality without reaching IMX or NRX pricing.
