E6X Walleye Wtr 2

The G. Loomis E6X Walleye WTR 2 is built for trolling presentations made for walleye. Walleye trolling requires rods that can handle sustained loads from crankbaits, spinners, or harnesses run at depth, while providing enough tip sensitivity to distinguish lure action from bottom contact or debris. The extra length of an 8-foot rod also helps anglers spread multiple rods on an outboard-equipped boat, managing lines across a wider swath of the water column.

The blank is constructed on E6X high-modulus graphite with multi-taper technology tuned to a moderate-fast taper, which provides a load-absorbing mid-section for trolling applications while retaining responsiveness. Fuji Aluminum Oxide guides and a Fuji reel seat are standard. The handle uses a D-style configuration suited for rod holders and trolling rod mounts common on walleye boats. Handcrafted in Woodland, Washington.

The WTR 2 is a single model: 8'0", 2-piece, medium-heavy casting, moderate-fast action, rated 8–17 lb line and 1/2–2 oz lures. The 2-piece design makes an 8-foot rod manageable for storage on trailered boats. The MH/ModFast pairing handles heavier diving crankbaits and bottom-contacting trolling rigs without over-powering light harness setups.
