Loomis GCX Bass CBR Casting series is a crankbait-specific casting rod lineup built for bass anglers who want a blank dialed in to the parabolic load and cushioned hooksets that crankbait fishing demands. CBR stands for Crankbait Rod, and the series serves tournament and avid recreational anglers fishing squarebills, medium-diving cranks, lipless rattlebaits, and bottom-bouncing crankbaits across a range of depths and cover types. Both rods use G. Loomis's multi-taper design technology to create a parabolic bend profile that maximizes casting distance, lure action, and fish landing ratios on crankbaits with treble hooks.

Ultra-lightweight SeaGuide Hero One guides minimize line tangles and weight. Fuji reel seats and full cork handles are standard throughout the series. These rods are handcrafted in Woodland, Washington, placing them in the domestic premium tier. The GCX CBR series has received strong angler feedback for versatility across multiple crankbait styles.
