The GCX Spinnerbait (SBR) is a technique-specific baitcasting rod built for fishing spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, and similar bladed presentations. It fits bass anglers who need a rod that loads smoothly on a low-trajectory roll cast, tracks blades at a steady retrieve, and absorbs the reaction strike without pulling the bait away from the fish. The blank is built on G. Loomis Multi-Taper Design technology, which allows the manufacturer to tune power and action at discrete points along the blank, producing a responsive tip that works the bait and a firm mid-section that transfers force on the hookset.
SeaGuide Hero One guides with ceramic ring inserts keep the overall weight low. The rod is handcrafted in Woodland, Washington and carries the brand's limited lifetime warranty. MSRP is $249.99. The GCX SBR casting lineup contains a single model, the 812C SBR, at 6'9" with Medium power and Extra Fast action rated for 10–17 lb line and 3/8–1/2 oz lures. The 6'9" length provides good reach for sidearm and roll casts around shallow cover.
The GCX tier sits below IMX-Pro in the G. Loomis lineup, offering comparable technique-specific tuning at a lower price point.

A closer look at notable models.
The only model in the series. At 6'9" with Medium power and XF action, it is sized for accurate roll casts to shallow serves. The relatively narrow lure range (3/8–1/2 oz) reflects optimization for standard spinnerbait weights instead of generalist bladed-jig use.
