The GCX Bass SJR (Spin Jig Rod) Spinning series is specialized for spinning-tackle anglers working soft plastics and small jigs on the bottom, techniques like drop-shot, shaky head, ned rig, and finesse jig presentations where maintaining bottom contact and detecting subtle bites are the primary demands. These are not all-around bass rods; the SJR designation signals a narrow technique focus that excludes topwater, crankbait, or heavy cover applications. Target angler is a tournament or serious recreational bass fisherman who wants a dedicated finesse spinning setup.

Blanks are rolled in Woodland, WA on ultra-durable carbon with Multi-Taper Design (MTD) technology, G. Loomis's approach to varying the taper along the blank to produce a specific feel curve instead of a single-taper design. Guides are SeaGuide Hero One frames, prioritizing line management and reduced tangle for the thin braided or fluorocarbon lines common in finesse fishing. Handle is split-grip cork over a Fuji reel seat. Fast action throughout provides a crisp tip for detecting bottom bites while the MTD blank delivers power at the butt for solid hooksets.

Four all-spinning models in two lengths (6'6" and 7'0") crossed with two power ratings (M and MH).
