The G. Loomis GCX Inshore Casting series is a three-rod saltwater inshore lineup designed for anglers made for redfish, snook, and speckled trout in shallow coastal environments. Oyster bars, mangrove edges, and inshore flats. It is pitched at serious inshore anglers who want G. Loomis blank quality at a step below the NRX+ tier. All three rods are built with G. Loomis's Multi-Taper Design technology, which uses micro-tapers within the overall blank taper to reduce weight at non-critical sections while reinforcing high-stress zones.
A beefed-up resin system provides superior impact resistance for saltwater environments. Components include premium cork handles, Fuji reel seats, and an optimized SeaGuide guide train. The casting configuration suits anglers preferring baitcasting reels for precision delivery to structure. The three models span 6'6" to 7'0" with Medium and Medium-Heavy power: GCX 782C F at 6'6" M/Fast for close-quarters work (8–14 lb, 1/4–5/8 oz); GCX 842C MF at 7'0" M/Moderate-Fast for general flats casting and redfish on oyster bars (G.
Loomis's stated recommendation); and GCX 843C F at 7'0" MH/Fast for heavier presentations made for snook near cover or larger redfish (10–17 lb, 1/4–3/4 oz).

2 of 3 modelsG. Loomis's stated recommendation for redfish on oyster bars. The Moderate-Fast action provides a slightly more forgiving blank for longer casts with crankbaits and swimbaits while retaining enough tip responsiveness for soft plastics on exposed shallow-water structure.
The MH Fast model steps up in power for heavier lures and stronger fish. Same 7'0" length as the 842C but stiffer throughout. Appropriate for snook near structure, larger redfish, or heavier soft plastics requiring immediate, positive hooksets at close range.
