GLX 23 Crr Casting

The G. Loomis GLX 23 CRR Casting series is a two-rod Carolina rig (C-rig) specialist lineup built for bass anglers who fish heavy sinkers on long leaders over structure and bottom. The technique demands a rod with enough backbone to manage a 1/2oz–1oz sinker, a long fluorocarbon leader, and a soft-plastic trailer while remaining sensitive enough to detect the soft pressure bites common when dragging a C-rig. Both models are 7'3" fast-action casting rods designed and rolled in Woodland, Washington.

Blanks are built on a proprietary blend of high-modulus graphite and advanced resin technology, stepped onto mandrels with machined micro-tapers that reinforce high-stress zones and reduce failure points. CI4+ reel seats amplify blank-to-hand sensitivity while reducing dead weight. Fuji K SiC tangle-free guides span the full blank. Premium split cork handles provide ergonomic grip during the sustained sweeping hooksets that Carolina rig fishing requires. The GLX tier sits above the GCX line in G.

Loomis's bass lineup and commands a premium price. The two models share the same 7'3" length and fast action but differ in power: the GLX 874C CRR is H power (14–20lb / 5/16–3/4oz) for standard C-rig applications with medium sinkers, while the GLX 875C CRR is XH power (17–25lb / 3/8–1 1/2oz) for heavy sinkers, rock/gravel bottom, and large soft plastics. Both are casting only, Spinning counterpart exists in this series is absent.
