GLX 23 Dsr Spinning

The G. Loomis GLX 23 DSR Spinning series is the premium tier of G. Loomis's drop shot spinning lineup, stepping above the GCX DSR in blank quality and price. The series serves serious bass anglers who rely on drop shot as a primary technique and demand maximum sensitivity and casting accuracy in a finesse spinning rod. Both models are extra-fast spinning rods built in Woodland, Washington on high-modulus GLX-grade graphite blanks. The GLX blank construction uses a proprietary high-modulus graphite and advanced resin blend stepped on machined micro-taper mandrels to isolate failure points and reinforce them with added material.

CI4+ reel seats reduce dead weight and transmit vibration directly from blank to palm. The full Fuji K SiC tangle-free guide train minimizes friction and line wrap during the slow presentations that define drop shot fishing. Premium split cork handles are standard. The GLX tier commands a significant price premium over GCX for improvements in sensitivity and blank recovery speed. The series gives anglers two lengths and powers. The GLX 822S DSR is 6'10" in M power (6–12lb / 3/16–1/2oz), the shorter model for standard drop shot applications from shore or boat.

The GLX 863S DSR is 7'2" in MH power (8–15lb / 3/16–5/8oz), the longer model for deeper water, longer casts, or situations requiring more line-management angle when fishing vertically in deeper structure. Both are spinning only.
