Loomis's top-tier GLX platform applied to the Mag Bass Reaction (MBR) casting format, built for moving and reaction baits: spinnerbaits, bladed jigs, swimbaits, heavier Texas rigs, and jigs fished around cover at moderate to long range. The target angler is a tournament or serious recreational bass angler who demands low weight, high sensitivity, and decisive hook-setting leverage. GLX blanks use high-modulus graphite with advanced resin systems; stepped-mandrel micro-tapers tune the action so the tip tracks moving baits while the mid and butt engage quickly to drive hooks on heavy line.
All models run fast action. Fuji K SiC guides, CI4+ reel seat for stiffness and sensitivity, premium cork. GLX-tier pricing (around $525+). The "23" designation refers to the 2023 generation refresh of the GLX platform. Seven casting models spanning 6'8" to 7'6", powers M through H, two length tiers (6'8"–7' and 7'6"). The 803C (6'8" MH) is the shortest, best for tighter quarters and pitching. The 7' models (842–844C) cover M/MH/H for the core reaction bait range.
The 7'6" trio (902–904C) adds reach for long-range presentations and big swimbaits. All fast action, all casting, Spinning variants in this sub-series is absent.
