GLX 23 Sjr Spinning

The GLX 23 SJR (Spin Jig Rod) is G. Loomis's GLX-grade spinning rod series built for finesse presentations involving jigs and worms where a spinning outfit is preferred but stronger hookset power is required. The series serves freshwater bass anglers working deep-water structure, fishing jigs around cover, or any scenario where the bite demands more rod force than a standard finesse rod delivers. The modern throwback aesthetic references early G. Loomis designs without compromising current blank technology.

Blanks are constructed from a proprietary blend of high-modulus graphite with advanced resin technology, precision-machined with multi-taper micro-tapers at specific points within the overall taper to tune the flex profile. Custom Ci4+ reel seats amplify blank feedback for bite detection. A Fuji SiC K-guide train manages line cleanly and reduces weight. Premium split-grip cork handles are fitted across the series. All rods are handcrafted in Woodland, WA, USA, with a limited lifetime warranty.

Pricing: $479-$550. The four-rod lineup covers 6'6" and 7'0" lengths across Medium, Medium-Light, and Medium-Heavy power, all with Fast action. The 6'6" model (782S) uses a shorter handle (13.5") and is the only sub-7' option. The three 7'0" models step from ML to M to MH, spanning a combined lure range of 1/16-3/4 oz and line class of 6-15 lb. All are spinning format only.
