The G. Loomis IMX-PRO Bass BJR is a two-rod technique-specific casting series built exclusively for bladed jig (chatterbait) fishing. Bladed jigs impose a unique demand on rod design, the blade generates strong, rhythmic vibration feedback throughout the retrieve, which must be readable but not fatiguing, while the rod must still absorb the shock of a violent open-water strike without tearing the hook loose. The IMX-PRO platform uses multi-taper-technology blanks that are stated to be up to 15% lighter than previous-generation IMX while improving both sensitivity and load efficiency.

Target angler is the tournament or dedicated bass angler who wants a purpose-tuned tool for the bladed jig technique. Blanks are IMX-PRO proprietary graphite composite with fast action and moderate-fast loading characteristics appropriate for bladed jig work, fast enough to maintain contact and feel the blade, forgiving enough to manage hook retention under a heavy strike. Premium cork rear grip with split-grip format. No foam or EVA. Guides are IMX-PRO standard stainless with appropriate sizing for braid-to-fluorocarbon setups typical in this application.

Two casting models: 862C BJR (7'2", M/Fast, 10–17 lb, 1/4–1/2 oz) and 883C BJR (7'4", MH/Fast, 12–20 lb, 3/8–3/4 oz). The 862C handles lighter bladed jigs and line for pressured fish; the 883C covers heavier hardware and heavier cover. Both fast action. Slight length difference (2 inches) gives marginal casting distance advantage on the 883C but both are close to the same fishing profile.

IMX-PRO 862C BJR Casting · 7'2" · M · F action

Lighter bladed jig model. M power and 1/4–1/2 oz rating suits smaller chatterbaits on clear-water or finesse applications where a lighter rod telegraphs blade vibration more distinctly. 10–17 lb line accommodates fluorocarbon leaders in open or semi-open water.

IMX-PRO 883C BJR Casting · 7'4" · MH · F action

Heavier bladed jig model for 1/2–3/4 oz Jackhammers and similar big blades fished around heavy grass, laydowns, or open flats. MH power handles the force of the blade and drives the hook harder on the strike. Preferred by anglers fishing heavier cover or deeper water.
