IMX Pro Bass Mbr

The IMX-PRO Bass MBR (Mag Bass Rod) is G. Loomis's application-specific casting series for bottom-contact and moving-bait presentations. MBR is a taper designation within the broader IMX-PRO bass platform, A fast action that loads progressively through the mid-blank, enabling both sensitivity for bottom baits and versatility for moving lures. The intended angler is a tournament or serious recreational bass fisherman comfortable with baitcasters who fishes jigs, Texas-rigs, and hard swimbaits.

Blanks are built on Loomis's multi-taper IMX-PRO graphite process, reportedly up to 15% lighter than prior IMX generations. All seven models are casting (baitcasting) rods with fast action and Fuji K-Frame guides. The absence of any spinning rod in this series is deliberate, MBR is a casting-rod-only technique set. Cork split grips are standard throughout. The lineup coheres around a single application philosophy despite spanning three lengths. Seven models span 6'6" to 7'6" in M, MH, and H power.

The two 6'6" models (782C, 783C) suit close-quarters pitching and skipping. The 7' trio (842C, 843C, 844C) is the workhorse spread, M through H, covering light jigs to 1oz swimbaits. The two 7'6" models (903C, 904C) favor long-distance bottom work or larger swimbaits. All models carry fast action; no extra-fast or moderate variants exist in this series.
