Spinning

A precision drop-shot spinning series built for finesse bass fishing in open water, made for suspended or bottom-oriented bass with small plastics and light wire hooks. Effective from 10 to 25+ feet of water. Built for anglers who live on the drop-shot rig and need a rod that communicates subtle weight displacement while still clearing hooksets on light line without straightening hooks.

IMX-PRO blank with strategic scrim placement produces a highly responsive, XF-action tip that maintains constant line tension during stationary soaking and communicates subtle pressure changes, the angler works the tip instead of executing hard hooksets. Mid-section loads cleanly for short, accurate pitches to structure. Up to 18% lighter than E6X equivalents. Fuji K-Frame guides throughout; cork grip.

Described by reviewers as among the most sensitive drop-shot blanks available. Two 6'10" spinning rods in different power classes: 820S DSR (L power, 4-8lb, 1/8-3/8oz) for the lightest drop-shot presentations in clear water, and 822S DSR (M power, 6-12lb, 3/16-1/2oz) for heavier shot, larger hooks, and light braided main lines. Both XF action, same length. Spinning only.

A closer look at notable models.

IMX-PRO 820S DSR Spinning · 6'10" · L · XF action

The clear-water finesse option, 4-8lb line and L power for maximum sensitivity with the smallest drop-shot weights. Best for high-pressure, clear reservoirs where subtle bites on 1/16-1/8oz shots are the norm.

IMX-PRO 822S DSR Spinning · 6'10" · M · XF action

Steps up to M power for heavier shot weights and braid-to-fluoro systems. More versatile across deeper structure where heavier weight keeps the rig vertical in current or wind.
