Casting

A dedicated flip/pitch casting series built for high-pressure heavy cover bass fishing, matted vegetation, dock skipping, laydowns, and punching through thick structure with heavy jigs, creature baits, and Texas-rigged plastics. The target angler skips and pitches heavy line all day and prioritizes fast bait placement over casting distance. IMX-PRO blank construction delivers H-power backbone with up to 15% weight reduction versus prior-generation models.

Fast action maintains a dynamic tip for line control and accuracy on short pitches while the substantial mid and butt section generates the power needed to horse fish from heavy cover on 17-25lb line. Fuji K-Frame guides; cork grip with Fuji ECS reel seat. Reviewed as well-balanced with lighter reels despite H power, reducing fatigue through long flip/pitch sessions. Two H-power, fast-action casting rods: 894C FPR (7'5", 17-25lb, 1/4-1oz) for close-range dock work and pitching, and 954C FPR (7'11", 17-25lb, 1/4-1oz) for longer pitches and deeper cover reach.

Same line and lure ratings, the length difference is about reach and leverage, not power class. Both casting only.

A closer look at notable models.

IMX-PRO 894C FPR Casting · 7'5" · H · F action

The shorter model at 7'5", suited for docks, laydowns, and close-quarters pitching where rod length can be a hindrance. Provides the same power as the 954C but with more maneuverability around structure.

IMX-PRO 954C FPR Casting · 7'11" · H · F action

At 7'11", this reaches further into deep or wide cover and improves line control at distance during the pitch. Longer lever arm aids in moving fish laterally from heavy mats and away from obstructions.
