The IMX-PRO JBR Casting is a single-model baitcasting rod from G. Loomis specialized for jerkbait fishing, specifically the pause-and-twitch cadence used with suspending and slow-sinking hard baits for bass and similar species. At 6'9" with Medium power and Fast action, the rod sits in a length and power range that loads efficiently on sharp snaps while the fast tip snaps slack out of the line at hookset. The target angler fishes jerkbaits year-round in clear water, cold fronts, or when bass are suspended off structure.

IMX-PRO blanks use multi-taper technology, variable-rate taper geometry built into the mandrel, to reduce blank weight by up to 15 percent versus prior IMX generations while increasing stiffness and impact resistance through a new high-modulus, high-performance material blend. Fuji K-frame guides in a tangle-free configuration keep light monofilament and fluorocarbon off the blank. Premium cork handles use a subtly tapered rear grip that approximates a split-grip feel while providing more contact surface for longer sessions.

One model only: IMX-PRO 812C JBR (6'9", M, F, 8–15 lb, 1/4–3/8 oz, baitcasting). No power variants exist in this series designation. Retail pricing sits around $400 MSRP, squarely in the mid-to-upper IMX-PRO tier. The spinning counterpart (812S JBR) is a separate series entry.
