IMX Pro Spinnerbait

The IMX-Pro Spinnerbait series is a two-rod technique-specific casting lineup from G. Loomis made for bass anglers who fish spinnerbaits as a primary presentation. Both rods are built on the IMX-PRO graphite blank platform, G. Loomis's mid-tier above IMX, below GLX, using multi-taper technology that trims weight while maintaining structural integrity. The extra-fast action provides a responsive tip for accurate casts and consistent blade tracking during retrieve, with a strong mid-section for positive hooksets through heavy monofilament or fluorocarbon.

Blank construction uses high-modulus IMX-PRO graphite layered with strategic scrim placement; handles are premium cork split-grip design with Fuji K-frame tangle-free guides. The extra-fast (XF) tip recovers quickly after load, which helps maintain blade rotation speed during the retrieve, relevant to spinnerbait fishing where tip behavior influences lure action directly. Rod weight is the IMX-PRO series runs lighter than IMX equivalents by approximately 15%. Both models are 6'9" casting rods with XF action, differing only in power: 812C SBR is Medium (10–17 lb, 3/8–1/2 oz) and 813C SBR is Medium-Heavy (12–20 lb, 1/2–3/4 oz).

The 812C covers most standard spinnerbait sizes in moderate cover; the 813C is for heavy-blade presentations in deeper water or denser vegetation. Spinning models is absent. Power split is the only structural difference.
