IMX Pro Steelhead Centerpin

Centerpin float rods built to the specifications of professional Pacific Northwest steelhead guides and tuned for natural drift presentations in West Coast and Great Lakes rivers. Centerpin fishing uses a freerunning reel with no drag mechanism, rod load management and mending skill control the drift. These rods need enough backbone to set hooks and fight large steelhead while maintaining moderate action for long downstream drifts. Not for conventional spinning or baitcasting setups.

Hand-rolled at G. Loomis's Woodland, WA facility. Multi-Taper Design process adds reinforcing material at high-stress points and removes excess material elsewhere, producing precise actions with low blank weight. Fuji Alconite guides reduce weight and friction on light tippet. Fuji reel seats. Premium cork handles. The IMX-PRO platform sits below the NRX+ in Loomis's lineup in terms of price and graphite modulus, but uses the same guide and reel seat specifications.

Four models spanning 11' to 12': IMX-PRO 13200-4CP (11' UL/M 4-piece), IMX-PRO 1361-2CP (11'4" ML/M 2-piece), IMX-PRO 1362-4CP (11'4" M/M 4-piece), IMX-PRO 1444-2CP (12' H/M 2-piece). Power escalates from UL to H as length and piece-count vary. The 4-piece models are travel-friendly. The UL 11' covers lightest-line steelhead trout work; the H 12' is the salmon and heavy-run steelhead tool at the top of the range.
