IMX Pro Swimbait

The G. Loomis IMX Pro Swimbait is a specialized casting-only series for throwing hard and soft swimbaits at largemouth bass and trophy fish. It covers a wide weight range, 1/8 oz finesse paddle tails on the light end up to 8 oz glide baits and full-size Huddleston-style swimbaits on the heavy end, making it one of the more complete swimbait lineups from a major brand. Blanks are high-modulus graphite using Shimano/G.

Loomis's multi-taper IMX Pro technology, which reduces blank weight up to 15–18% versus E6X equivalents. Guides are tangle-free Fuji K-frames. Handles are full cork with Fuji components. Action grades shift as weight class increases: XF actions on the lighter 7'2"–7'4" models transition to MF on the 7'6"–8'0" range, reflecting the need for deeper load on heavier baits. The 8'0" MH and H models are built specifically for reservoir and lake fishing where long casts and strong currents or wind require sustained rod power.

All six rods are baitcasting. Lengths run 7'2" (two models), 7'4", 7'6", and 8'0" (two models). Powers step from M through H in matched pairs, each length except 7'4" gives anglers M and MH or MH and H pairings, allowing anglers to tune for line class and bait weight within a given rod length.
