The IMX-PRO Topwater is a single-model baitcasting rod from G. Loomis designed for walking-the-dog and popping surface presentations, techniques that require sustained rhythmic rod-tip movement over long retrieves. At 6'8" with Medium power and Fast action, it sits in the classic topwater length range: short enough to generate crisp wrist-driven cadence, long enough to carry plugs to the target. The target angler works walkers, poppers, prop baits, and hollow-body frogs across open-water bass situations.

IMX-PRO multi-taper technology reduces blank weight by up to 15–18 percent versus prior IMX and E6X generations, a meaningful benefit when the rod is in constant motion for hours. The blank incorporates a proprietary progressive taper with a unique mid-flex tip zone designed for cadence consistency and accuracy, the tip provides rhythmic loading without over-flexing, reducing angler fatigue. Fuji K-frame tangle-free guides. Premium cork handles with subtly tapered rear grip in a split-grip-approximation configuration.

Handcrafted in Woodland, WA. One model: IMX-PRO 802C TWR (6'8", M, F, 8–15 lb, 1/4–3/8 oz, baitcasting). TWR denotes topwater rod. No length or power variants exist under this series designation. MSRP is consistent with the broader IMX-PRO casting lineup.
