The NRX+ Dropshot is a single-model spinning rod from G. Loomis built for the drop-shot rig, a finesse vertical presentation used predominantly for pressured or post-frontal bass in clear water. The 6'10" Extra-Fast Mag-Medium configuration is tuned specifically for slack-line strikes: the extra-fast tip telegraphs the faintest movement of a stationary bait while a balanced medium-light midsection acts as shock absorption to keep treble-free circle-point or wide-gap hooks pinned through the fight.
Target angler is a finesse-oriented bass angler working deep structure, docks, or offshore brush. NRX+ Spiral-X technology cross-winds carbon tape in opposite diagonal directions for heightened torsional rigidity without weight gain, producing an extremely responsive blank that is widely noted by reviewers for sensitivity sharp enough to distinguish rock from weeds on slack line. The hybrid Fuji Titanium SiC / ultra-lite RECOIL guide train keeps light fluorocarbon or braid-to-fluoro setups snag-free.
CI4+ reel seat maximizes vibration transfer. Hand-selected split-grip cork handles. Handcrafted in Woodland, WA. One model only: NRX+ 822S DSR (6'10", Mag-Medium, XF, 8–14 lb, 1/8–3/8 oz, spinning). Casting counterpart in this series designation is absent. Reviewed as one of the most sensitive drop-shot rods in the NRX+ generation.
