The G. Loomis NRX Plus Ned Rig is a single-model spinning rod based on the Ned Rig, a finesse technique that presents a small mushroom-head jig tipped with a soft-plastic stick bait on light line. Ned rigging has become a high-production bass technique in pressured fisheries, rewarding anglers who can feel the subtle bottom contact and detect reluctant strikes. This rod serves serious tournament and recreational bass anglers who allocate a dedicated tool to the technique.

The NRX+ blank incorporates Shimano's Spiral-X technology, layering carbon tape wound diagonally in opposing directions to maximize torsional rigidity without adding weight. A hybrid guide train mixes Fuji Titanium SiC guides with ultra-lite RECOIL guides for casting efficiency and durability. Shimano's CI4+ reel seat integrates tightly with the blank to preserve sensitivity transmission. Hand-selected premium cork handles complete the build. The NRX+ tier represents G.

Loomis's premium construction below the GLX. The single model, NRX+ 821S NRR, is a 6'10" medium-light fast-action spinning rod rated for 6–10 lb line and 1/16–5/16 oz lures. The length balances casting distance with sensitivity for detecting bottom texture and bites at range. Medium-light power keeps the rod from over-working the small jig heads used in Ned rigging while retaining enough authority for decisive hooksets with a light wire hook.
