Ocean Gate Light Jigging

The Ocean Gate Light Jigging is a two-model baitcasting series for boat-based vertical jigging in the 100-180g range. Both models measure 6ft3in and use Regular action blanks, differing only in power and lure ceiling: the ML handles MAX150g on PE#0.6-1.2, and the M handles MAX180g on PE#0.8-1.5. Rod weights are 110g and 118g.

Light jigging with baitcasting gear (as opposed to spinning SLJ) suits anglers who prefer the direct feel and compact footprint of a conventional reel for vertical presentations. The two Ocean Gate LJ models cover the transition zone between SLJ (sub-100g) and full jigging (200g+), targeting species like amberjack and snapper in moderate depths.

Both models are priced at ¥17,050 and ¥17,600, within ¥550 of the SLJ spinning equivalents. The matching length of 6ft3in on both models means anglers choosing between ML and M for a given day get the same blank geometry with only the power rating and line class changing.
