The Offshore Tribe is Jackson's boat-based offshore casting series, covering four models from Medium Light (7ft3in) to Heavy (8ft3in). The range is built for topwater and casting work from an offshore platform, with lure ceilings running from MAX80g (ML) to MAX160g (H). PE line ratings go from MAX#4 to MAX#8 across the four models. Max drag values are 10kg, 12kg, 18kg, and 20kg from light to heavy.
Unlike other Jackson series, the Offshore Tribe spec sheet shows a maximum drag column in place of the action column, reflecting the offshore convention of specifying blank strength in drag terms. The 7ft3in ML at 242g is the lightest entry in the series; the 8ft3in Heavy at 423g sits at the performance ceiling. All four models are single-piece spinning rods.
The Offshore Tribe targets pelagic species including GT, kingfish, and yellowfin tuna from charters and private boats. The wide drag range covered in four models gives boat anglers a full offshore casting quiver within a single series.
