Surf Tribe

The Surf Tribe is Jackson's shore-casting surf rod lineup, covering the 9ft10in to 11ft1in range with five models from Light to Medium Heavy. All rods use a Fast action blank and are built around PE line from #0.4 to #2, with lure weight ranges spanning 5-20g at the light end up to 12-60g for the MH model. The range targets flatfish, sea bass, and choker species from sandy surf beaches and rocky shore points.

The lineup includes a dedicated +POWER model (STSLS-9062L+) at 9ft6in that trades a half-foot of length for a boosted lure ceiling of MAX30g, sitting between the 9ft10in Light and the 10ft8in ML in terms of load capacity. The four standard STHS models cover a sequential length progression from 9ft10in to 11ft1in, each tuned for a specific weight class of lure rather than overlapping in application.

Rod weights run from 145g at the Light end to 212g for the MH, keeping fatigue manageable across long surf sessions. All five models are single-piece blanks. The Surf Tribe sits in the mid-market tier for Japanese surf rods, offering a well-defined application range per model rather than a broad overlap design.
