Ocean Gate Offshore Casting
Light offshore baitcasting, 4 rods 7'-7'7", MAX40-70g, PE#2-4.
The Ocean Gate Offshore Casting is a four-model baitcasting series for light offshore casting and tropical saltwater work from a boat. The series spans 7ft to 7ft7in with Light to Medium power ratings and lure ceilings from MAX40g to MAX70g. PE line ratings run from MAX#2 to MAX#4. All four models use a Fast action blank.
The model codes (JOG-700L-K, JOG-702L-K, JOG-705ML-K, JOG-707M-K) follow a length-based progression: 7ft0in, 7ft2in, 7ft5in, and 7ft7in. Rod weights step up from 185g to 250g as length and power increase. The series is priced tightly from ¥19,250 to ¥20,350, keeping the full quiver accessible at entry-offshore price points.
The target application is light pelagic casting (trevally, snapper, bonito) and coral reef species where PE#2-4 lines and 40-70g metal or hardbody lures are the primary presentations. The casting-specific design differentiates the series from the spinning-based Ocean Gate models.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 4 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
