The Trout Signal Area is a two-model specialised series for managed (area) trout fishing ponds, where longer rods and light lures are standard. Both models are spinning rods: the TRSS-61UL (6ft1in, MAX4g, Regular action) and the TRSS-62L (6ft2in, MAX6g, Regular action). Line is rated MAX4lb and MAX5lb respectively. Rod weights are both 80g. Prices are both ¥16,500.

Area trout fishing in Japan takes place on stocked private ponds where fish are caught on micro spoons (1-3g) and small crankbaits. The Regular action on both models is critical for this application: it loads during the cast to launch ultra-light lures, bends throughout the fight to buffer the light tippet, and provides the soft tip required to work small spoons at a consistent retrieve speed.

The Trout Signal Area sits within the Trout Signal family and shares its naming convention (TRSS prefix) but targets a distinct fishing environment. At ¥16,500 for both models, it is priced above the standard Trout Signal single-piece (¥13,750) to reflect the area-specific blank tuning.
