Blue Diamond A

The Blue Diamond A is a casting-only trolling rod series built for Great Lakes and large-lake trolling applications, primarily salmon, steelhead, and lake trout taken on planer boards or in-line trolling setups. The E-glass core with outer graphite layer is the defining construction choice: glass supplies the sustained flex and shock absorption needed when a salmon surges against a diving plug or spoon on a board, while the graphite wrap adds enough responsiveness to read rod load during a troll.

This is outside the casting or jigging rod lane; the gimbal butt and medium action across all seven models signal dedicated rod holder use. All-casting configuration with stainless-steel double-foot guides and titanium-oxide inserts, durable enough for repeated board releases and multi-hour troll sessions. Stainless hooded reel seat and non-skid rubber gimbal are standard. EVA grips. The moderate action throughout the lineup means consistent load and bend characteristic useful for reading board behavior at distance.

Seven casting models run from 7'6" ML (8–20 lb) through 10' MH (12–30 lb), all with medium action. Spinning variants is absent. The shorter, lighter models (7'6" ML, 8'6" ML) suit smaller-diameter boards and lighter lines for trout and coho; the longer, heavier models (9', 10') are appropriate for board spreads made for Chinook or lake trout on heavier hardware. The 8'6" power spread (ML, M, MH) gives the angler matching-length options across a line-weight range.
