Celilo B Crappie Rods

The Celilo 'B' Crappie series is Okuma's entry-level-to-mid-range spinning lineup specialized for crappie, bluegill, and light trout fishing. Target angler is a panfish specialist, dock or bank fishing with small jigs, hair jigs, live minnows, or small plastics. Fast action tips aid in strike detection for the subtle, soft bites characteristic of crappie. This is outside the general-purpose ultralight rod lane; the fast tip and light line ratings (4–10 lb) narrow the intended use quite specifically to panfish.

Blanks are graphite composite (not pure carbon), a deliberate cost/durability compromise for a value-oriented rod. Neo-cork grips are used fore and rear for weather resistance and light weight, a practical choice for wet dock fishing. Construction is straightforward: no exotic components. All models are spinning, fast action. Two power divisions: L (line 4–8 lb, lure 1/16–5/16 oz) and ML (line 4–10 lb, lure 1/8–1/2 oz). The ML models handle slightly larger jig-head-and-minnow rigs.

Six models in three length increments (6', 6'6", 7') × two powers (L, ML), all spinning. Fast action throughout. The 7' L model gives maximum reach for dock fishing or skip-casting docks, while the 6' L is the most compact for confined spaces. The ML models add a ceiling that handles heavier crappie rigs or small bass jigs.
