Epixor Inshore Rods

The Okuma Epixor Inshore is a spinning-only rod series built for nearshore saltwater fishing along the US Gulf and Atlantic coasts. Target species are the standard inshore mix, redfish, speckled trout, flounder, snook, and similar, using jigs, soft plastics, topwater plugs, and live bait rigs from kayaks, flats boats, and wading positions. The series is sold as a mid-tier value option: components are genuine quality (24-ton carbon blank, Fuji DPS reel seat, cork grips), but the price point is below the premium inshore segment.

Blanks are 24-ton carbon with moderate-fast action across all eight models. Sea-Guide stainless steel frames with titanium oxide inserts handle braided and mono line without significant friction. Cork fore and rear grips are conventional for this category and provide adequate sensitivity. The Fuji DPS reel seat gives secure engagement for spinning reels under load. Moderate-fast action loads the blank enough to cast lighter presentations while providing hook-setting authority with jig heads and worm hooks.

Lineup: eight models uniformly at 7'0" and 7'6", ML through H power. Each length is offered in ML, M, MH, and H, a logical matrix that covers every primary inshore application. ML and M handle trout and flounder scenarios; MH is a workhorse for redfish and snook on jigs; H at 7'6" covers heavy sinker bottom rigs and bull redfish. The 7'6" models provide casting distance advantage over 7' models in open water.
