Evx B Series Musky Rods

Okuma EVx B-Series Musky is a dedicated musky casting rod series made for anglers throwing large lures (1–16 oz) on heavy braid or mono (30–130 lb). The series is all-casting, all baitcasting format, and covers the typical musky technique range: glide baits, bucktails, topwater, jerkbaits, and large rubber lures. The lure weight floor of 1 oz and minimum line of 30 lb confirm musky focus. Blanks are 24-ton carbon fiber with UFR (Unidirectional Fiber Reinforcement) at the tip section, claimed to triple strength and lifting power in the tip.

Relevant when fighting large fish close to the boat. Standard models feature split cork grip; "FG" models (full-grip) use a continuous rear cork grip. Both variants use Sea Guide double-foot, deep-press stainless steel guides to handle the torque of large lure retrieves and fish fights. Nine models total, all casting. Lengths run 7'6" to 9'3". Powers span H through XXH. The 7'6" models are the shorter/lighter end (H and XH) for finesse musky or river situations; the 9'3" models (XH, XXH) are distance-casting configurations for open-water reservoirs.

Two FG (full-grip) models at 8'6" and 9'3" XH intended anglers who prefer full-grip ergonomics for long retrieves.
