A budget-to-mid tier surf and beach rod series from Okuma, built for casting heavy sinkers and baits from beaches, jetties, piers, and rocky points. The target angler is a surf or shore fisherman made for stripers, bluefish, red drum, sharks, or Pacific species (halibut, corbina, surf perch) at distance. The graphite composite blanks and double-foot guides prioritize durability and load capacity over sensitivity. At approximately 30oz the rods are on the heavier side, which reviewers note.

Graphite composite blanks, stainless steel double-foot guides with aluminum oxide inserts, stainless steel hooded graphite reel seats, EVA cushion above and below the reel seat, Pac Bay rubber butt caps. All two-piece construction. The series is oriented toward value, reviewers frequently note it competes with rods at double the price. The 8' M spinning (LC-S-802M-1) is the light end, suited for lighter surf or jetty work (15–30lb line, 1/2–3oz). A 9' casting model and a 9' spinning model both run H power with 15–40lb line for mid-range surf work. The 10', 11', and 12' spinning models all step to H power/F action with 3–8oz lure capacity for long-distance beach fishing. The 12' casting model (LC-C-1202H-1) is a heavy beach caster.
