Pulse Wave Inshore Rods

The Pulse Wave Inshore series is Okuma's entry-level salt offering made for redfish, snook, speckled trout, and similar nearshore species. Released for fall 2025 alongside the all-purpose sub-series, it differentiates itself with 1-piece construction, braid-optimized hardware, and a full cork grip configuration more appropriate to inshore standards. Intended for anglers stepping up from freshwater gear without committing to a premium price.

Blanks are 1-piece 24-ton carbon. Guides switch from generic stainless to SeaGuide deep-pressed frames with zirconium inserts, specifically rated for braid use, which matters for the braided-leader setups common in inshore fishing. Fuji DPSM-17 pipe reel seat adds credibility at the ~$99–105 price point. Full cork fore and rear grip instead of EVA. Backed by a 1-year warranty, shorter than most dedicated inshore competitors.

Six rods, all spinning, all 7'0", offered in ML/M/MH power ratings, each in Pink and Seafoam colorways. The trio of powers covers the core inshore range: ML for finesse trout and flounder, M for general redfish, MH for bull reds or light tarpon work. Casting models is absent. The identical-length approach simplifies the lineup but leaves out longer rods for open surf or flats situations.
