Silver Slayer Tarpon Rods

Dedicated tarpon rod series, tuned for the stop-and-go demands of large migratory tarpon on Florida flats and passes, sustained fights, violent head shakes, and the need to generate quick casting angles on moving fish. All four models are spinning, reflecting standard flatwater tarpon technique. The FG suffix indicates Fuji guide hardware throughout; gimbal support is included for prolonged fights. Blanks are 24-ton carbon with UFR II (Ultimate Flex Reinforcement II) tip technology, which stiffens the tip zone specifically to resist impact from head shakes while preserving parabolic feel through the mid and butt.

Fuji K-Concept deep-press frames reduce line tangle on all-day casting. Fuji FazLite inserts handle high-heat from braid-to-leader drag loads. SeaGuide double-locking Alien reel seat. Tapered cork fore and full rear grip with rubber cork inlay, grip geometry balances fatigue management against positive grip during runs. Lineup pairs two lengths (7'0" and 7'9") with two power levels (H and XH) within each length. The 7'0" models suit close-quarters dock fishing and casting in tight windows; 7'9" adds casting distance for open-flat presentations.

H power (15–30 lb, 1/2–2 oz) handles average tarpon live-bait and fly-line presentations; XH (20–50 lb, 3/4–3 oz) is rated for larger fish and heavier crab or mullet baits.
