Tesoro Jigging Rods

The Tesoro Jigging lineup serves offshore vertical anglers working jigs at depth, specifically bottom bouncers and slow-pitch practitioners pursuing amberjack, tuna, grouper, and similar bluewater species. It divides cleanly into two functional blocks: speed/bottom-jigging sticks (shorter, XXH to H power, full TPE grips) and slow-pitch models (6'8" SP suffix, ML through MH, spiral-wrapped guides). All models are dedicated boat rods. Blanks are 24-ton carbon for speed/bottom models and 24/30-ton for slow-pitch versions, reinforced with Okuma's UXR multi-directional fiber wrap to resist torque during deep jigging.

Sea Guide stainless deep-pressed frames with zirconium inserts handle both braid and mono. Slow-pitch rods carry spiral guide wraps to reduce line torque during jigging cadences, a feature absent on the speed/bottom trio. Fuji reel seats throughout. Fit and finish noted by users as above average for the price point; described as a successor to the Cedros jigging series with thinner, lighter blanks. The ten-model lineup breaks into three speed/bottom-jigging casting rods (5'8"-6'4", XXH-H, line to 250lb, lure to 17.5oz) and seven slow-pitch rods at 6'8" (four casting, three spinning) in ML through MH.

The 641XXH is an outlier, the heaviest model at 12-17oz lure weight, made for deep-drop jigging where jig mass is required for depth reach.
