Spec 4

Spec 4 is a two-piece modular spinning rod designed for SUP (stand-up paddleboard) fishing and shore casting. It ships with one butt section and two interchangeable tips: the SRA (Short Rod Attachment) for vertical jigging and drop-shot work, and the LRA (Long Rod Attachment) for casting presentations. With the SRA mounted, overall length is 2.08m (6'10") and the rod rates Vertical Max 80g on PE Max 1.2号 line; butt section packs to 107.5cm. With the LRA mounted, length is 2.24m (7'4") and the rating is Cast Max 30g on the same PE Max 1.2号. Carbon content is 90% (SRA tip) and 92% (LRA tip). Rod weights are 143g and 146g for the two configurations.

One complete rod retails at ¥25,080 ($167.20) and includes both tip sections. The tip swap requires no tools and is designed for on-water transitions between anchored vertical fishing and drift casting.

The spec.4 fills a specific use case: anglers who fish from SUPs, kayaks, or coastal positions and need a single packable rod to handle both near-vertical lure presentations and overhead casting at moderate distances. The two tip lengths and ratings address fundamentally different lure styles, giving the rod a broad operational range.
