Spec 7 is a freshwater float and nymphing pole in two lengths: 3.6m (11'10") and 4.2m (13'9"). Both pack to 38.4cm, in 12- and 14-piece construction. Carbon is 71-75%; rod weights are 116g (360) and 154g (420). Tip diameter is 0.7mm for both.

The blank uses an extreme fast taper, placing the majority of flex in the upper tip section and leaving the lower sections nearly rigid. This design provides fast bite detection through the tip while the stiff lower section drives a rapid hook-set response. Intended applications include stream nymphing (mibyo-zuri), float fishing from elevated bank positions, and deep-water goby fishing where subtle movement at the tip signals a take.

The 38.4cm pack length is uniform across both sizes, making either model a practical addition to a day pack. The 360 covers most urban canal and river work; the 420 provides additional reach for fishing from high banks, wide waterbodies, or situations where keeping the line off the water surface matters.

12-piece float/nymphing pole at 3.6m (11'10"), packing to 38.4cm. The super-fast taper concentrates flex in the upper tip section, providing bite detection sensitivity while the lower section drives a fast hook-set. At 71% carbon and 116g, it is moderately stiff for a traditional small-fish pole.
