Spec T is RGM's fiberglass solid-blank series. The core spec.T offers two models: the 120S (1.2m one-piece spinning rod, 110g, Ultra Light, up to 5g, 3-5lb) and the 135B (1.35m 2-piece casting rod with 5% carbon, 150g, up to 9g, 5-8lb). Both pack to full rod length (120cm) and retail under ¥12,000. The 130N is a single-section glass solid pole at 1.3m and 80g, with a 1.0mm tip, for float fishing and light drop-shot rigs; it sells for ¥3,850 ($25.67).
The spec.T Tsugi adds a 4-piece jointed format across four models. The original 125S (spinning) and 135B (casting) use 4% carbon in a glass-dominant blank. The newer 155S and 150B add a small carbon percentage (10%) for added response while keeping the glass flex character. The Tsugi range packs to 33.5-41.8cm and covers lure weights up to 9g (spinning) and 15g (casting); line is 3-6lb and 6-12lb respectively. Weights run 104-161g.
The Spec T family is built on the parabolic flex and slow recovery of glass solid blanks. That characteristic works well for area trout fishing, chubbing, and stream small-fish fishing at light weights, where a carbon rod's fast recovery can cause missed hook-sets on soft bites. The Tsugi models compress into backpack-friendly dimensions for trail and mountain fishing.

A closer look at notable models.
One-piece fiberglass solid spinning rod at 1.2m (3'11"). At 110g it is heavier than carbon alternatives at this length, reflecting the density of glass solid blanks. The parabolic flex loads the full blank under a light lure and releases energy slowly, producing a gentle casting arc ideal for area trout on micro spoons. Packs to 120cm (full length).
Entry-price glass solid pole at ¥3,850 ($25.67). Single-section, 1.3m, 1.0mm tip, 80g. Float fishing and light drop-shot applications. The low price point makes it an accessible first glass rod.
4-piece jointed glass solid casting rod at 1.35m (4'5") packing to 36.0cm. Compared to the one-piece spec.T 135B, the Tsugi version adds pack-down convenience with a small weight increase (127g vs 150g) and 4-piece construction for trail access and travel.
