Spec 6

Spec 6 is RGM's multi-piece saltwater light-game series in four lengths from 1.78m (5'10") to 2.64m (8'8"). All four are 5-piece rods that pack into 39-57cm and travel easily in a backpack alongside other gear. Carbon content is 90-93% across the range. Lure ratings span 1.5-25g and actions run Ultra Light to Medium, covering the full scope of light coastal fishing.

The 510 (5'10") is the lightest model: 65g, rated for 1.5-4g lures on PE up to 0.4号 or 4lb mono/fluorocarbon, suitable for micro-lure ajing and mebarofishing. The 69 (6'9") covers 2-5g on PE up to 0.6号 at 90g, adding reach for light shore presentations. The 79 (7'9") handles 5-12g on PE up to 0.8号 at 106g, reaching into medium-light rock fishing and light surf applications. The 88 (8'8") tops the range at 141g, rated for 10-25g on PE up to 1.2号, addressing shore jigging and heavier plug casting.

The model naming uses a feet-plus-inches format without a decimal point: 510 is 5ft 10in, 69 is 6ft 9in, 79 is 7ft 9in, and 88 is 8ft 8in. The spec.6 covers the same coastal target species as other Japanese light-game spinning brands, including shore-caught rockfish, horse mackerel, sea bass, and flatfish, in a packable format that fits on public transit.
