Dedicated trolling series made for walleye anglers dragging crankbaits, spinner rigs, or live-bait harnesses behind a boat. The 'Marble Eye' name references walleye directly. Suited to Great Lakes and large-reservoir trolling with light to moderate line (10–20lb), where subtle bite detection at speed matters as much as blank strength. Blanks are built on Toray IM carbon fiber, moderate fast action and medium power provide a combination of load-absorption and tip sensitivity.
This action profile allows a trolling rod to load against planer boards or downrigger releases without being so stiff that it telegraphs false strikes from line drag. A longer rear grip and trigger handle are standard on the TC (trolling conventional) designation. Two models: 7'9" and 8'6", both M power with MF action and identical 10–20lb line ratings.
Length difference affects tracking angle and rod-holder spread when running multiple lines. Both are single-piece construction (designated -1), which maintains blank integrity through the full length.
Deeper Dive
A closer look at notable models.
Shorter of the two. Better suited to tighter gunwale setups or anglers running fewer lines. Slightly more manageable when hand-trolling or adjusting lure depth.
The T suffix likely denotes a telescopic or take-apart feature for storage. Longer blank spreads lines further from the boat, reducing tangles when running multiple rods.
