Tidal Force

The Tidal Force is TFO's surf spinning series, designed for beach, jetty, and open shoreline casting at distance with heavier lures. The application is saltwater surf fishing made for striped bass, bluefish, red drum, and other open-surf species. It begins where the Blue Bight ends and extends into dedicated distance-casting territory. The target angler fishes exposed ocean beaches and needs range. Blanks use multi-layered Toray IM carbon fiber, optimized for strength, sensitivity, and fast recovery speed during extended casting sessions.

Seaguide SS316 stainless frames with zirconia inserts handle saltwater corrosion and provide smooth, low-friction line flow for braid, the primary choice in surf fishing. Skeletal pipe-style reel seats reduce weight while transmitting blank feel. Shrink-wrap grips handle wet and sandy conditions better than exposed cork. TFO lifetime warranty. Eight spinning models, Casting rods is absent. Lengths span 8' to 12', covering close-range jetty work (8') through medium surf (9'–10'6") to full surf distance casting (11'–12').

Actions are predominantly MF and F. Powers run M through H throughout. The 12' H/F model is the maximum-range heavy option. The 8' M/F is a versatile shorter surf or jetty rod. The 10'6" models split into ML/MF, MH/F, and H/MF for fine power-action tuning at the most common surf length.
