Option Bass

The TFO Option Bass is Temple Fork Outfitters' freshwater bass casting series positioned at a mid-range price (~$150). TFO has its roots in fly rods but moved into conventional bass fishing with this line. The Option Bass fits anglers looking for performance above the entry level without commitment to premium pricing. All seven models in this batch are casting rods; TFO also gives anglers spinning variants under the same family name. The casting line is not oriented toward a single technique, a power color-coding system distinguishes technique intent across models, with the lineup designed to cover a range of bass presentations.

Blanks are lightweight carbon fiber with fast action throughout. Seaguide Performance stainless guides with aluminum oxide inserts handle line friction; down-locking feel-through reel seats are a component choice that prioritizes blank contact for sensitivity. Two-tone high-density EVA grips replace cork. The matte concrete finish is functional instead of decorative, reducing glare in bright conditions. Seven casting models span 6'10" to 7'6", covering M, MH, and H power in fast action.

The 6'10" MH and 7' M and MH models cover standard versatile bass casting. The 7'3" trio in M, MH, and H power provides the series' core, and the 7'6" H model steps into heavier flipping or larger lure territory. Spinning or extra-fast models appear in this casting-only batch is absent.
