Temple Fork Outfitters' Traveler is a 3-piece spinning travel series built for anglers who need a capable freshwater or inshore saltwater rod that fits in airline overhead bins. TFO redesigned the series with precision-engineered tip-over ferrules that minimize the multi-piece compromise, reviewers note it fishes closer to a one-piece rod than most 3-piece designs at this price point. IM carbon fiber blanks in a non-glare navy finish, with Fuji K guides and Fazlite inserts, Fazlite handles both salt and fresh exposure and is light enough to not compromise tip sensitivity. Feel-thru reel seats with carbon fiber inserts and premium cork grips with EVA accents. All models include a rod sock and 32" airline-compatible rod tube. The construction quality puts it above budget travel rods; it's used by saltwater guides and inshore anglers on flats who need a packable backup.
