BlueSniper Boat-Casting
Offshore casting rods from PE 2 to PE 10 in FLX, RGD and TRQ actions for bluerunners and tuna
BlueSniper Boat-Casting is Yamaga Blanks' offshore casting series, seven models in three types for bonito, Spanish mackerel, yellowtail, kingfish, trevally, grouper and tuna. All are two-piece grip-joint rods dated 2025, rated from PE 2 to PE 10.
FLX-Mode rods bend deeply from the tip into the butt. The 8'3" 83/2 (14 to 50 g, PE 2) is a light model for long, accurate casts with small sinking and diving pencils at fish feeding on small bait; Yamaga says its butt power sits near the PE 3 class. The 8'3" 83/6 (45 to 140 g, PE 6) is the standard topwater rod for kingfish around 20 kg and yellowfin around 30 kg, and the 8'1" 81/8 (60 to 180 g, PE 8) adds a solid-core butt where the bend stops at the butt guide, for large kingfish and tuna in shallows and around reefs.
RGD-Mode (Rigid) rods are stiff, quick-recovering blanks for a wider lure range. The 7'4" 74/3 is a short all-rounder for PE 2 to 3 with topwaters, minnows and soft plastics; the 7'6" 76/4 (40 to 90 g) adds large minnows and jigheads for rockfish; and the 7'9" 79/5 (45 to 115 g, PE 4 to 5) is a manual-control rod for diving pencils, poppers and sinking lures in tough conditions. TRQ-Mode is the 8'1" 81/10 (40 to 150 g, PE 10), built for yellowfin and bluefin tuna over 100 kg, with a butt Yamaga rates for maximum lift at 40 to 60 degrees and for long fights held high. Prices run from ¥43,000 to ¥56,000 before tax.
