NEW-DAWN
Limited BlueCurrent models in ELITE, BETA and PILLAR editions, from 4'1" to 10'
NEW-DAWN is Yamaga Blanks' limited-model line, grouped into editions rather than one blank family. ELITE models are tuned for experienced anglers who want a more specialised rod than the standard series, BETA models are built around unconventional concepts, and PILLAR models keep the user-friendly character of the standard range. The maker also lists GLOBAL models sold only outside Japan, and a VIVID limited-colour edition is in development.
The ELITE BlueCurrent models are the 86 All Range from 2024, rated 3 to 21 g on PE 0.4 to 1 with a grip that lets the hand touch the blank, and two 2026 models: the 73 All Range NXT, a redesigned all-rounder at 1 to 12 g, and the 610, a 6'10" plugging rod for topwater and jerkbaits on seabass and black sea bream at 3 to 16 g. All three use spigot ferrules, Torzite-ring guides and Fuji NHSS13 seats.
The BETA models are the 4'1" spinning 41 and the 4'6" baitcasting 46/B, ultra-short rods for lures to 5 g with no recommended target, and the 10-foot 100 Tuned for SURF from 2024, a light game rod for long casts with jigs, floats and sinker rigs on sandy beaches. The PILLAR models are the 70TZ Trippers, a 4-piece travel rod closing to 560 mm for salt and fresh water, and the 60 Junior, a 6-foot kids' and all-purpose rod at ¥18,900 ex-tax.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 8 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
